Here’s a fun one. Remember yesterday’s Crow’s Prose with the chilly blue and gold painting? That got my mind onto the frozen north (and south!). And I decided it would be fun to render some colorful ice. Here’s the reference photo I chose:
So I put thought about how I’d do it, and put some washes of color down and as I was putting some highlights into the ice I realized something. Namely that the painting would work in its original orientation and also … upside down! One way – an iceberg. The other – a glacier! Hmmm. Now the question is – which way to go? Any suggestions?
